A Perfect Unexpected Saturday (and cheap for the kids!)

I’m going to tell y’all about a perfect Saturday afternoon in Macon, Georgia that I guarantee most of you don’t know you can have.

I took my kids to a carousel.

What? A carousel in Macon? Where I didn’t know there was one?

I kid you not!

And it’s super cheap. You can pay $1 for one ride OR $5 for unlimited rides. And they don’t charge the adults to ride with their kids. Although, after my kids made me ride all 20+ rides with them that might change. Sorry, y’all.

Then there’s the added bonus of being next to one of the taco food trucks, which everyone kept telling me were amazing. With two kids who were furious that I made them get off the ride, I was only able to make it to one of them- and could only try one taco while my daughter requested a corn dog and my son refused to eat- just pout until he could get back on the carousel.

I honestly can’t remember which food truck this was, I guarantee some of my friend who read this will know, but the food was really good. I got the El Pastor, since I love El Camino’s version so much.

This one was also good, a lot more dressed down but that’s exactly what I would expect when getting it straight from the originator. (But I do love my fancy tacos, too.)

So if you want a good, fun, cheap weekend with your kids- head down to Smiley’s!

Love to all y’all,
