When Over-Accessorizing Works: Miami Vice Style

Coco Chanel famously said ” when accessorizing- always take off the last thing you put on”, but there are times when over-accessorizing works. Today was one of those rare days for me! Bracelets, earrings, sparkle headband, jacket, watch, and necklace. Generally, I’ll keep things rather simple. One standout accessory and the rest stay simple.

But today, I had the standout earrings- complete with a dash of pink color, too- from Peace Love Tulle. Along with a complimentary colored turquoise sparkle headband from Karats and Keepsakes- which I might not usually pair with a jacketed outfit but today it felt like it worked.

Also, my very favorite Coach oversized sunglasses. I felt like they worked with the Miami Vice feeling white jacket- with leather details too! And my white Joe Jeans.

While I might not usually advocate a strappy spaghetti silk tank, it’s blazing hot today and I like having the option to take off the super light weight jacket to feel a little cooler. The tank was purchased at the outlet sale at Tibi- my very favorite of favorite designers! And even with the lower than usual neckline I kept the necklace simple, going with the ever elegant Tiffany’s.

On my wrist I layered it all on with my new favorite bracelets from Diana Warner, complete with the “when in doubt sparkle!” saying, along with my Michael Kors rose gold and tortoise shell watch. Not pictured is my Michael Kors handbag.

And of course- my ever faithful Jessica Simpson d’Orsay Josette styled pump.

So, what do you think??? Did I pull it off?

Love to all y’all,
