It’s that time of year: Savannah Fashion Week. From April 28th through May 1st, the Hostess City will be draped in sartorial splendor culminating with a fashion show in Forsyth Park that Thursday night featuring some of the hottest Southern fashion designers.

The events started this past Wednesday, April the 2nd, with Savannah Fashion Week Visionnaire Event. This soiree celebrated the launch of SFW Savannah Style Fund to benefit “students with an ambition to pursue a career in the creative arts” (from the Facebook page event). The event took place at SoHo South and featured the recipients of the Angel Patron sponsorship as well as “the fabulous Junk2Funk designers from Savannah Arts Academy”.

The other events will start on April 28th, with the presentation of Dianne von Furstenberg’s summer line at BleuBelle. That same day, Satchel will have a Design Your Own workshop for creating handmade leather cuffs and other items right in front of you. And that’s just on Monday…

There will be other events the rest of the week, which I will of course be covering here, as well as the big runway show on Thursday May 1st. And guess who got to interview the designers? Me, of course, and I will post those interviews here as well.

Now- for one of the biggest pieces of news- I have two tickets to giveaway to the runway show.

The Savannah Fashion Week Runway show will be at Forsyth Park from 8 pm until 10 pm on May 1st, and MY tickets are V.I.P. Meaning that you will get to come to the V.I.P. area starting at 7,  which includes cocktails and hors d’oeuvres , as well as front row seating during the show.

Just one little request- to be entered to win these tickets you must pay attention to these blog postings- I’ll be announcing the rules to win very soon 😉

Love to all y’all,
