It’s Not Who Has More Fun- It’s Who’s Going to WIN: Blondes vs. Brunettes Football

If you live in the Macon, Georgia area you can’t go anywhere without seeing something about the Blondes vs. Brunettes Football game to benefit the Alzheimers Association. I first heard about it when one of the organizers, Sarah White, asked me to play on the Brunette team.

Giving the insanity of my schedule, I really didn’t want to commit to playing- but said I’d be happy to help promote it. Well… here I am. I have to say, I’m really impressed with how many people have gotten involved- especially for a first year event. The game itself will even be held one month from today just before the Mercer Football game.

And from what friends are telling me- this won’t be your average flag football game. These ladies are coming prepared with plays and all. One friend has even been given the name of “the Bonecrusher”. Yikes.

However there isn’t just any ONE event for this game, oh no these ladies have organized other events leading up to the game to help promote and raise funds. Tonight there’s a Sip and Shop event at fab’rik in Macon:

What’s better than 25% of the proceeds going to Alzheimer’s awareness AND a great excuse to shop?! Not a whole lot, I say.

Do you live in the area, or just want an excuse to eat out in Warner Robins? The Team Brunette, lead by my friend “Coach” David Danzie, has teamed up with Logan’s Roadhouse to give 20% of their sales Monday night (September 22nd) to the fundraiser. Just present this coupon right here:

And there are many more events to come- keeps your eyes open right here for more of them!

Love to all y’all,
