Back to the Basics: My Southern OOTD (Outfit of the Day)

Sometimes the things I wear are simply inspired by necessity, and sometimes by the event in mind. Today is one of those days that was a mix of the two. I first attempted to try a mix of punk rock inspired looks with a slouchy, handmade grey tank from Hyer Handmade with a bronze bib collar necklace. It didn’t feel quite right for the neckline of the shirt and the necklace.

But no worries! That’s why I know my wardrobe so well. I knew I wanted to stick with the jeans I had picked out, but perhaps a lacy top would make things a little more feminine.

Meh- something still isn’t feeling right about this one. This is when I decided it was best to get back to the basics and get to my Southern roots. Lace, denim, and pearls: done.

Easy to replicate, and always classic.
